7 Innovations shortlisted as China Telecom products

Recently, UIT has successfully completed the implementation of the disk array product testing work organized by China Telecom, Guangdong Telecom Academy. The following 7 storage products were tested:

SV1600, BS2000e, SV3600, BM2980, SV6800, SVL5000, SVN3000

All products have passed a test and obtained an approval report. The next step is to be in operation with the headquarters of China Telecom Group - Central Purchasing Directory to participate in Telecom Group headquarters centralized procurement.

The approval report allows us to take part in project strokes and tender offers by the China Telecom's subsidiaries in 31 provinces and provincial-level branch offices.

The Vendors which have been short-listed by China Telecom Group on disk array products are: SUN, IBM, EMC, DELL, HDS, HP, FUJITSU, H3C, Huawei, ZTE. Through the Telecommunications Research Institute product testing, the influence of storage products in the telecom market has expanded, making us the mainstream storage products supplier.

In preparation of the product testing, our company gathered manpower from various departments like the Telecommunications Business Development, Telecommunications Division, Testing Department, Technology Department and Product Department in order to make it successful. In order to complete the test before the National Day holiday, and to avoid interruptions of the progress of preparing test reports, we contributed overtime testing. Normally a 6-month test cycle by other manufacturers our company only took 3 weeks to complete the test. The professionalism and hard work was recognized by the Telecommunications Research Institute of Guangdong.
